HOUSE RULES

Please schedule your appointment by contacting us via email at info@luskamedia.ca or through our web form. While we strive to accommodate last-minute requests, we kindly ask for at least a few days’ notice to ensure our availability.

We kindly request a minimum of a 48-hour notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least a 24-hour notice to avoid a $150 charge. Cancellations on the same day or at the appointment location may incur a charge equal to the total appointment cost.

Please ensure that the location is fully prepared for our Virtual Tour, Photography, and/or Videography services before your scheduled appointment with the LUSKA MEDIA specialist. We’ve created a Location Preparation Checklist, accessible at Area Prep List.

If the location isn’t ready when our specialist arrives, they may choose to wait until it’s prepared or reschedule for another time. Waiting time is billed at $100 per hour or part thereof and will be included in the invoice. Additionally, if our specialist needs to return to complete the scheduled scan or capture, a minimum charge of $100 will be applied.

Before the shoot, all specific requests, such as desired rooms/angles, unique features to highlight, or others, should be communicated to ensure the content meets the client’s expectations. The client is responsible for being present at the start of the shoot to approve the LUSKA MEDIA specialist’s interpretation of the assignment. If the client is absent, the specialist’s interpretation will be considered approved.

To ensure that photographs and videos look their very best, we recommend that client arrives at the session in clean clothing. This applies even if a client wishes to be photographed or filmed in their favourite outfit that they’ve worn throughout the day. Minor dirt can be more visible in photographs and on video than in everyday life, so preparing and possibly cleaning the outfit beforehand can lead to the best results. While we provide standard image retouching, please note that more extensive adjustments due to unclean clothing will incur an additional fee. 

Completion times vary, ranging from one hour to a full working day or longer, depending on the property size and the selected service. The LUSKA MEDIA specialist will arrive on time equipped with shoe covers; we kindly ask the client to follow the same rule. To ensure efficiency, it is essential that the number of people present on the property during the appointment be kept to a minimum and that no other appointments are scheduled during the production session.

The property must be in a ‘ready-to-shoot’ condition. It is not our responsibility to arrange furniture or clean the property. If the property is not ready and preparations delay the shoot, or if there are other delays caused by circumstances outside the agreed scope of work and actions by individuals who are not members of the LUSKA MEDIA team, the client will be charged a rate of $100 for each additional hour. If the client decides to proceed with the shoot despite the property not being ready and against the advice of the LUSKA MEDIA specialist, the state of the property cannot be grounds for complaint if the client finds the content unappealing. 

Deposit is your way of reserving our services. For any project, a 50% deposit of the total purchase price is required to confirm your reservation before our work begins. This step ensures that your requested date is booked. Upon receiving the agreement, please e-transfer the deposit to info@luskamedia.ca, then we’ll send you a confirmation and further details regarding our planned collaboration.

Unless otherwise specified, full payment is required following the completion of production and receipt of the invoice. The release of any deliverables is contingent upon full payment. Acceptable payment methods include e-transfer, credit card, cash, or cheque. If no specific payment terms are negotiated, please note that a $100 late processing fee will be applied to invoices unpaid within 30 days. Additionally, interest will accrue on overdue balances at a rate of 2% per month, starting from the service date. The interest will continue to be charged monthly until full payment is received. If the client fails to pay for the service, any content created and delivered to the client cannot be used, edited, or displayed publicly at any time. If the content is not delivered on time, the client will receive a 10% discount for every 24-hour delay, up to a 100% discount.

Delivery & Assistance: The client will receive an email once the media has been processed, including a link to access the deliverable via the LUSKA MEDIA CLIENT PORTAL. Alternative online storage options can be discussed before the appointment date if necessary. Additional assistance to obtain the delivered files and step-by-step instructions to upload or embed the media on a website can be purchased for an extra fee.

Photography – Real Estate: Approximately 20 edited images will be delivered via the LUSKA MEDIA CLIENT PORTAL link within 24 hours* after the photographer departs from the property.

Videography – Real Estate: An approximately 60-120 second video featuring background music (license included) but no voiceover will be delivered via the LUSKA MEDIA CLIENT PORTAL link within 48 hours* after the videographer departs from the property.

Virtual Tour – Real Estate: The project will be delivered via the LUSKA MEDIA CLIENT PORTAL link within 72 hours* after the virtual tour specialist departs from the property.

Deadline Adjustments – Real Estate: If the 24-hour*, 48-hour* or 72-hour* period ends on a weekend or holiday, the deadline will extend to the following workday.

Photography – Portraits/Headshots/Family/Fashion/Brands/Engagements/Maternity/Newborns: Approximately 20 edited images from a 1-hour* photo shoot will be delivered via the LUSKA MEDIA CLIENT PORTAL link within 1 week* after the photo session (2 hours* photo shoot – approximately 40 edited images – 2 weeks delivery*)

Photography – Events: Approximately 20-40 images from a 1-hour* photo shoot (depending on the scale of the event and pre-production conversation) will be delivered via the LUSKA MEDIA CLIENT PORTAL link within 1 week* after the photo session (2 hours* photo shoot – approximately 40-80 edited images – 2 weeks delivery*)

Virtual Tour – Custom: The project will be delivered via the LUSKA MEDIA CLIENT PORTAL link within 1-2 months* after the virtual tour specialist departs from the property.

Quality & Optimisation: Our team edits and optimises the recorded digital media for quality before delivering it to the client.

Google Street View: Business View Virtual Tours are hosted on our Google account. Clients can choose to upload and arrange the 360° panoramic photos themselves (upon online delivery from LUSKA MEDIA) or hire us to upload and transfer the virtual tour to their Google account for an additional fee (to be agreed upon during pre-production).

360° Videos: 360° video production times vary depending on the complexity of the footage. Completed videos are uploaded to our YouTube channel and licensed to the client for a specified length of time determined during the original estimate. Video files are also available upon request via the LUSKA MEDIA CLIENT PORTAL at an additional fee (to be agreed upon during pre-production).

3D Scans: 3D models are typically available via the LUSKA MEDIA CLIENT PORTAL link within 14 days* after the shoot.

*Delivery Times: Please note that delivery times are approximate and based on averages. Larger projects with custom requirements may take longer to process.

LUSKA MEDIA does not archive client assets beyond 3 months from final delivery. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the safekeeping of delivered materials.

LUSKA MEDIA panoramic virtual tours are uploaded to our web hosting channels and delivered to the client via web URL and embed URL. Licensing terms are determined and agreed upon during pre-production and included with the estimate. The client can either choose to license the content via subscription (monthly or annual payments) or self-host and own full content rights for an additional fee.
